The Ancient Chinese Painting Collection
At the request of Zhejiang University, PLC helps the program to develop its overseas marketing strategy. As a national cultural project, the purpose of this program is to promote an overall understanding of Chinese ancient paintings for the general public, and present the spiritual essence of Chinese literati painting, which is the foundation of Chinese culture, in the artist community. The collection meet world-class standards in all aspects link, ranging from selection and editing of images, to the production level of images, and to the final stage of printing and publishing. “We wish it to be a great work unsurpassed.”
Currently, there are two collections including Song Dynasty Paintings (23 volumes) and Yuan Dynasty Paintings (16 volumes), jointly compiled by Zhejiang University and the Cultural Heritage Bureau of Zhejiang Provincial Government. These two collections are recognized as representatives of significant works that promote cultural exchange around the globe.

It is the first worldwide, comprehensive and systematic cultural project involving the investigation, arrangement, verification, research and publication on existing Chinese painting works.
The Series of Ancient Chinese Paintings presents excellent products of Chinese ancient paintings, some of which are stored domestically, while others are stored in America, Canada, Russia, the UK, France, Germany, Japan, India and other countries. Its publishing were supported by over 250 cultural organizations across the globe. At present, more than 120 foreign colleges and cultural organizations have included The Collection of Song Dynasty Paintings in their libraries.
